FAQS
Do I need to drill holes to install these?
NO drilling required! These are direct bolt-on using factory mounting points already present on your Highlander/Kluger frame. Installation uses existing threaded holes.
How much weight can the steps hold?
Each step supports 300kg or 650lbs, both safely support adults and children.
Do these lower ground clearance?
Yes, approximately 1-2 inches. Steps are designed to hang below rocker panels but maintain reasonable ground clearance for normal driving. Not recommended for serious off-roading.
Are the steps slippery when wet?
No! Both versions include anti-slip step pads with textured rubber or aluminum tread pattern providing secure footing in rain, snow, and mud.
Will they get rust?
Stainless steel and aluminum alloy are highly corrosion-resistant. Will not rust under normal conditions. Excellent for coastal areas and winter climates with road salt.
How long does installation take and is there an installation manual?
With two experienced mechanics, installation usually takes about 2 hours. And since fitment is mostly plug-and-play, we don’t provide a manual. If your body shop needs help, we offer free installation support.
Can I install this myself?
While experienced enthusiasts can install add-on lip components, professional installation is recommended for optimal alignment, proper adhesive application, and best results—especially for grille replacement.
Do these work with factory running boards?
These REPLACE factory running boards if equipped. Remove OEM boards before installing aftermarket side steps. Cannot install both simultaneously.
